I get inspired in the record shops. Which is why I still use vinyl. I just dig deep in the crates looking for beats that inspire mixes. It doesn't matter what genre or style, I just listen to hundreds of records for hours then I buy what I'm feeling at the time. When I get the records home, I try to mix them together in way that makes sense. The way one record ends and the way another begins tells me how and if they can go together or not. I started this mix with the intention of using mostly hard funky breaks but it just went in the direction of Dubstep which inspired me to dig out some of my old U.K. Garage records. You ever get into the whole disco re-edits scene where people cut up old tracks and make them sound newer. Like In Flagranti or Pilooski?
