Toronto Sounds Amazing this Weekend (Snoop Sounds Like Rusko Too!)

With so many heavy hitters in such little time, this weekend is a nightmare for me. I will have dreams of what could’ve been haunting my every dormant and waking hour. I will be unable to see everything I want to because there is so much to do and so little time.
Tonight, Boys Noize will be performing at Toronto hot stop This is London. This is going to be an absolutely amazing show that regrettably I will not be attending. Instead, I will be taking in a show at The Drake’s Underground featuring the Salacious Sounds of Barletta and St. Mandrew, two great local cats who will be closing out the night for the Golden Girls Album Release Party. Speaking of local, Autoerotique (formerly VNDLSM) returns to this city to play The Cobrasnake Dance Party @ Wrongbar. The last time I hit this show was for Halloween and it was an awesome night featuring Pase Rock. At the same time, down in the club district, Cut Copy is coming to town for possibly the most hyped show of the weekend. Saturday I will be taking a Loft party for fashion week and covering local favorite Parallels as they tear up a night featuring other Toronto favorites like Fritz Hedler and the Phantoms (Oh my god what am I going to wear).
Anyway just thought I would put all of that out there, keep everyone in the know. Remember Miami Horror is coming on Monday, don’t sleep because Disco House is taking over (I LOVE IT!)… More about this tomorrow!

They sure aren’t playing that bassline. They sure are playing the two chord progression synth pad patch and fiddling with knobs. and if they’re not using Ableton, then some OTHER PROGRAM is playing those beats/sequences. Stop giving credit where it is certainly NOT DUE.

bleck. who cares how there doing it, MSTRKRFT definitely outshines N.O.R.E. and Isis’s dull and lumbering performance. The new Snoop / Tanvi track is great. I wouldn’t mind at all if this set the bar for 2009 hip hop production. Thanks for posting!

Snoop Dog Millionaire is not dub step coming back–It’s just snoop dog jacking a song by Chase & Status called “Eastern Jam”.

Chase and status produced the track and it says chase and status at the begining of it so its going to be a chase and status song. This track is going to get dubstep the mainstream limelight it deserves and thats only a good thing
