One of the many highlights for Monarch and I at the Canadian Music Week events we attended this last weekend was Keys N Krates doing their live remixes of Mos Def’s Ms. Fat Booty, Tribe’s Check the Rhime, and a Next Episode remix.

These guys have an incredibly tight and practiced show, are animated and mad enjoyable to watch, and just plain rocked Wrongbar.  Each musician in the band is incredibly skilled at their respective instruments, and it was especially awesome for me as a DJ to see turntablism of this caliber.

For those of you unfamiliar, we managed to get an awesome interview of this local Toronto group outside the venue shortly after the show, and the audio quality turned out incredibly poorly.  Hilariously, what did turn out was an incredibly drunk fan who had come out to have a smoke giving the guys their props.  Basically, these guys are really down to earth, super easy to talk to, funny, and AWESOME musicians.
